Pastor Michael E. Jackson, a proud native of Nevada, has etched a divine legacy marked by his unwavering commitment as a faithful husband, devoted father, anointed Shepherd, and accomplished businessman. As a licensed and skilled carpenter, his craftsmanship, inspired by his faith, laid the foundation for the M.E. Jackson Construction Company. His proficiency in carpentry not only prospered his business but also led him to be chosen among his peers for a journey to the Holy Land, where he mentored aspiring tradesmen.
Pastor Jackson’s spiritual journey began under the guidance of Superintendent Claude Parson Sr. at Vegas View Church of God in Christ in Las Vegas, NV, when he embraced the Lord Jesus Christ on July 5, 1970. Throughout this period, he served as a Youth Pastor, Sunday School teacher, and choir president. Ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ, Inc. in 1980, he remained steadfast until his elevation to the role of a Pastor.
In 1994, Pastor Jackson, alongside his wife and 12 family members, founded the Tabernacle of Praise Church of God in Christ, now a beacon of light in the community with over 500 members. His administrative prowess and people skills led to his appointment as Chief of Operations for the Nevada First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in 2008, later becoming the Superintendent of the Azusa District in 2010.
Pastor Jackson imparts his wisdom by teaching Biblical Leadership at the C. H. Mason Bible College, mentoring ministry leaders in integrity and accountability. Holding a teaching certificate in construction trades from the Nevada State Board of Education, he actively engages in community and philanthropic initiatives.
In a harmonious union, Pastor and Lady Kathy Jackson celebrate forty-four blissful years of marriage. Proud parents of three adult sons, one adult daughter, and five cherished grandchildren, they extend their love and guidance to countless Godchildren, fostering hope and empowering diverse individuals from all walks of life to enhance their quality of life for generations to come.
First Lady Leornese “Kathy” Jackson, a native of Sacramento, California, dedicated her life to serving the Lord from a young age, committing to be a role model and mentor for troubled youth. She earned a Child Development Associate degree with a focus on Early Childhood Development before embarking on a later academic journey, obtaining a degree in Business Administration at the age of 61.
Lady Jackson plays pivotal roles in ministry at Tabernacle of Praise Church, founded by her husband, Pastor Michael E. Jackson, in March 1994. She serves as the Church Administrator and President of the TOP Department of Women’s Ministry.
Having retired as an Office Manager from the Clark County School District in September 2000 after 20 years of dedicated service, Lady Jackson continues her impactful work in ministry. A gifted speaker and evangelist, she shares the Word of God with an anointing that transforms lives.
Lady Jackson holds ordination as a National Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ, Inc., actively contributing on various levels within the church. Currently, she serves as the Treasurer for the International Department of Women, Church of God in Christ, Inc. under the leadership of General Supervisor, Dr. Barbara McCoo-Lewis.
Over the years, she has received numerous awards and commendations for her outstanding contributions, including the Positive Image Award from MaHogany Page Magazine and Congressional Recognition from U.S. Congresswoman Shelly Berkley.
Married to Pastor Michael Jackson for over fifty years, Lady Jackson is the proud parent of three sons, Michael II, Anthony, & Keith; one daughter, the late Ashlee Michelle; and one daughter-in-love, Jackie, all who serve in the ministry. She is also blessed with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
